First Post from a new C90 owner
Hi everyone!
My name is Simon but my friends call me Sponge.
Way back in the mid 80's when I left school, my first real job was an apprentice motorcycle mechanic. All my boss would let me work on, was bloody C90's. I hated them with a passion!!!!!!
Now 35 years later, I have just purchased and become the proud owner of a 1990 model.
A proper one owner, ready to use bargain. Been in the back of a garage for 12 years. New battery and riding up and down the road on 12 year old petrol. It rides perfect.
One question, what size tyres do you guys recommend? Strangely at the moment, it's has 2.50 on the front and 2.25 on the rear.
So 2 tyres, a battery and a service. Then MOT!!!!
Take care friends and stay safe,
Sponge

Hi welcome . the tyres should be 2.50 each end . There are a lot of options but Metzler are the ones used by the racers conti ditch finders are not good . Motobat batteries are good ,Wemoto sell them and there is no need to mess with acid .

Re: First Post from a new C90 owner
Thanks for the warm welcomes.
The bike is a G reg 1990 kick start model with only 10400 miles on it. Bought new by the previous owner from Groombridge Motorcycles in Heathfield, East Sussex. Since 2008 its sat in the back of a garage, until it came up in conversation with my friend that "His neighbour's got one of them!"
Half a mile from my house was a bike that was in my top 3 to own. Deal done.
Wanted one for years, but prices are ridiculous, but reminds me of good times! (Awful times back then, but on reflection!!!!)
Anyway, thanks for the tyre info. I shall be ordering some very soon.
If anyone is local to Tunbridge Wells, let me know.
Sponge.
