Re: SH300i - £2500 - Oxon WITHDRAWN FROM SALE
It's absolutely cool as a penguin skating on a pond.
Every Roger who reads the thread is going to be thinking ,"WTF?" because of my comments, though.

Hi John,
I also have a SH300i, 2020 model and am interested in the heated grips you had fitted to yours. Can i ask if these were Honda items and if so were they fitted by the dealer. Again if you fitted them yourself what make where they and how easy to fit please.
Cheers,
Brendan.

Hi Brendan, they were fitted at dealer when new, and before I took delivery. I seem to remember that the Factory did not supply the bike with them fitted, but offered them as an extra to be fitted by dealer? There are no makers name on them.
Sorry, cannot answer your query.
It is still for sale, reduced to £2300 in light of little response from adds, both here and elsewhere

I give up. Suns out and I'm using it now for "essential" journeys
Bit surprised actually, thought they were pretty much sought after--obviously not so.

Really? I'm not surprised one bit. I do empathise, and it is a shame, though.
The whole market is flat as a pancake.
A lot of dealers are shut, though new bike sales seem to be fair game. The private used market much less so.
There have been high profile cases of buyers being caught and fined for non-essential journeys to pick up used motorcycles they have bought.
Someone local to me was giving away a 50cc scooter that was running, and even MOT'd (due to the 6 month extension.) OK, it was a Pulse (Lexmoto) 12 years old, and needed a set of tyres and a service but it was free to collect.
He's ended up announcing that due to lack of interest, he's keeping it.
I have amended your original post to show that it is no longer for sale.

Re: SH300i - £2500 - Oxon
TBH there are going to be some seriously good new bike bargains going by year end killing the S/H market further (though IMO C90/125cc market will pick up as monies going to be tight)
Both Robinsons & Lings are giving £500+ cash back etc
I could have had a 50cc 2* advertised for £495 @ £300 but declined due to other deals & am currently debating if I have room to store a rough VL125 with ticket for £400.

Re: SH300i - £2500 - Oxon
Small bikes should start selling, better than public transport for health reasons. Who will be travelling long journeys in the near future, I will be happy just getting out freely in a 60 mile radius from home, so a small cc maxi will do me.

Thank you for the post amendment Capitano. Two schools of thought I suppose? While naturally some are cautious, and keeping hold of whatever they have, others (like me) are more worried about how the Government is going to claw the vast amount of dosh from us all to pay for the extended paid holidays currently being enjoyed by much of the working population?
Interesting times ahead for the " pound in your pocket"?
Good luck to all.

No worries, and furloughed workers are generally the taxpayers who will be funding the payback so confidence and purchasing power will be hugely influenced by that section of the population anyway.midget wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 10:53 amThank you for the post amendment Capitano. In terms of secondhand bikes below £5k I reckon it's purely logistics and the market will pick up when restrictions are lifted.
