New in Northampton

Post by kirkyworld » Mon Nov 18, 2019 10:37 am

Thank you for the add, I'm in Northampton right in the centre of the country. I was pointed in this direction from a Facebook group. I am after a 50 for a 16 year old and a 90 for me, I'll have some questions about what's 16 legal etc and be looking for some good bikes. :D

Welcome ,No C bike is legal at 16 ,you will have to get a 2013 on scooter ,C50s were motorbikes and need a bike licence to ride them ,so wait until he is 17 and then get a 90 :)

The rules changed in 2013 and after that the max permitted speed was 40kph or 28 mph .

Hi and welcome
Great to have you here many happy safe miles.
P.S. I was told I was in the center of the country as I'm the furthest from the sea in any direction (Staffordshire )

Interesting all brummies know they would have to drive over 100 miles in order to reach the sea be it Weston, barmouth or tywyn.
Is the fenny Drayton figure "as the crow flys"
Obviously I'm not a crow! Although I do look at many birds with envy.

Get the 16 year old a Vision 50. As Wightie says, Cubs ain't 16-er legal any longer. 8-)

Good luck in your search.

We had a 16 year old on one of these with us on a run a few years ago, can't remember where or who with but it didn't disgrace itself. I was surprised when told it wasn't the 125 version. :D
