Twist'n'go over bumps ?

Twist'n'go over bumps ?
On the cub, meeting a speed bump I'll raise my self in the saddle on the footpegs & pivot over the bump.. standard stuff & saves the back jolt.. whats the technique on a twist & go ? sit down & pray the shocks will take it.. or just go slower

Go slower, that's the point of them. That said, many now have a gap in the middle or at the sides, that can minimise the shock.

Well a lot depends on how bad your back is.
You'll feel the jolt on any bike, even a car really.
If you want to save the jolt then keep doing whst you're doing.
On speed bumps we tend to slow down anyway.
If it's 5mph or 10mph I'll just ride over them but if it's 20mph+ then, like you, I'll stand up on the pegs.
I've also done it on long distance touring on big bikes when it's hot. Stand up and you get lovely cool air around your ging gang goolies and cheeks.

Some are just built that way to minimize costs. I call them 'motorcycle friendly'. But with the rise of moped crime those 'gaps' are being fazed out to slow down the little thieves.
They (the bumps) are a bugger when you're not well and in the back of an ambulance.

Luckily most of the ones in my area are of the single lump in the middle of the road so you have escapes in the middle and at the gutter side so never had any real problem on a C90 or bigger bike.
As I'm planning on getting an Mp3 been researching and they are apparently pretty awful on any speed bump!
Get a Citroen Dyane and you can ignore all speed bumps until the front suspension legs start to fold up. Smart car and you need seasickness pills!

Same on a T&G, if its a flat floorboard like an SH then push body weight onto feet lifting spine or if a maxi same or stand up as you would a motorbike it just takes experience to know your centre of gravity on T&G and control throttle accordingly.
I would point out though if your hitting the hump hard enough to jolt you then it's not going to do the scooter shocks, fork stanchions much good either, slow down ride to the road conditions
