Speedo. I bought a new worm gear off ebay when the last one turned to cheese. Easy to fit. Front Indicators popped out, with minimum sideswiping & broke the retaining tabs years ago.. Never played with side stand cut off.... have to resolder the tank gauge connector every 6 months too.. Replace the rear axle with a Honda one at the earliest opportunity too.. Soldier, I was that rider.....

Regards

Kevin
The circular gear is easily removed but the one that I assume is the worm gear, seems to be pretty well jammed in but does have some movement along the length of it?

I've had a quick look on eBay but Aliexpress seems to be the cheapest (£3.34), listed as a Jialing JH70?

I figured out the worm drive, held in with a push fit collar.

Just used a flat head screwdriver to put pressure on the opposite end and it eventually slid out.

The worm gear looks OK to be honest. Wonder if it was lack of grease that caused the wear?

Looking at that JH70 speedo drive kit the depth might be different as mine is around 16mm...

:?

I've replaced a few of my bulbs with LED equivalents.

It's only ever taken out on nice dry sunny days so doesn't make any real difference but the headlamp is still using filament bulbs.

Dragged the Kayak out of the shed today, battery very dead so jumped it with a larger bike battery. Took a bit of time to get it to spin up nicely but didn't start, will investigate tomorrow. Ordering a Motobatt for it as the C90 likes it's one, then will get one for the Riders, the Stream and probably one of the SVs. All due to not being able to get into the sheds with my Optimates. :D

Have you double checked the dimensions?

YTX4L-BS was the one I ordered.

Yep, MotoBatt MBTX4U is the equivalent apparently. I even dragged the bike out and measured it. Same size for the Riders and the Stream also, when I get round to unseizing it. :D

Was thinking about the saddle on the bike and looking for something a bit more plush.

Which of the C series seats would fit without too much hassle?

I see Honda logo'd units for around £45 e.g.?
