Rosedale valley and Goathland
Fitted the cbf125 shocks the other day and yesterday I managed to get some time for a spin.
Went to Goathland then across to Rosedale Abbey and up Rosedale Chimney Bank which I believe is England’s steepest road along with Hardknott pass Cumbria. It’s avaerage is 13%, but 33% at its steepest bit, also know as The Chain Breaker to cyclist
Covered around 80 miles. Just got to adjust the tappets still and add a couple of spot lights.
Nice to get out.

I’m north of Scarborough........and tend to head up to where I went and go back down towards Pickering or through Dalby forest.......which now doesn’t cost anything to go through on a motorbike ( and rightly so).......personally don’t think it’s up to much anyway....I mean it’s ok, but.....

One of my fave rides is from Thirsk, up Sutton Bank, on to Pickering then Goathland or over to Whitby. The Kayak (3 speed) made it up Sutton Bank in 2nd last year.

Re: Rosedale valley and Goathland
Nice pic bikerbarker.......I’ve never been up Sutton Bank on a bike...only in car. I’ve only lived up here just over a year other than when I studied up here quite a while back, so lots of exploring to do!
Good going to do that in second on cub. Going up Chimney Bank on both the innova and cub I was in 1st for a while.
Haven’t been to Thirsk in years.....can’t remember what it’s like.

Re: Rosedale valley and Goathland
About 24 years ago me and the wife decided we wanted a weekend away and spotted an advert in the local paper advertising B&B in Goathland at the Goathland Hotel. We booked it and arrived in the dark, were shown to our room then ended up in the bar ,but it was a surreal feeling as we felt
we had been there before ,It was only when a barmaid came out with a T shirt with "yes we are the Aidensfield Arms"on it we realised where we were. The next morning when we walked out of the front door and the garage was bang across the road .It's lovely place to visit.

I have a thing about Last of the Summer Wine too and always try to visit Holmfirth when visiting friends in Yorkshire.
