Re: cg 125 and now a conundrum
Looks like a really nice CG. I have been wondering about one myself recently and started to find out about the history of the CG. Developed by Honda in early 1970s in order to provide an ultra-reliable and simple bike to Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand where an understanding of motorcycle maintenance was next to nothing (hence pushrod engine rather than OHC).
So, my conundrum. Given the sales success of the CG, why is there so little in the way of aftermarket add-ons? I can find no fairings, no belly pans, no hard panniers, and little about tuning or racing them. It seems all you can do is fit a top box to the rear rack, perhaps find a Givi screen to fit, and use soft luggage. I note that Bagster do offer a tank cover, as do Top Sellerie - but no bespoke saddle.
Any thoughts out there?

Re: cg 125
Hi. i think you answered your own question with your first part. it was ment for cambodia..
Yhey dont need those options in third world countrys.
But if you know where to look you can find the odd
tuning part.
In most cases with honda it comes down to local companys that are in the country of bike origin,
Cg125 BR (Brazil) the bike was called a Titan
and you can buy hi lift and duration cam for the Titan in Brazil.. also roller rocker arms
Same as the CBR 125 the home market (Thailand) has a good cheap supple of racing parts,
you can fit the 150 cylinder kit to the later CG Brazil models but will need work on the cases to fit the Japan bikes.

Lots of universal screens fit and will help with top speed and fuel consumption.

You won't say that after it falls over and rolls off the bench......I've seen it happen and makes grown men weep.

Thanks all - most useful. Will continue to mull over the idea of a CG as a restoration project for 2018.
