Epic journey on C90G
Did more miles in 3 days than all of last year on C90G. 681miles on trip from Cramlington to Weston Super Mare and back, including 326 miles today in just over 81/2 hours including stops. All motorways, which meant that I spent most of my time looking in the mirrors. Speed was pretty much 46 to 50 all the time. Afraid to say that many drivers have never experienced slower moving traffic, especially 20 something females in Minis or Corsas. The bike never missed a beat but pathetic fuel capacity a real pain!

Re: Epic journey on C90G
Just shows what a Cub can do to the travel urge !!
BTW, Mr NQE do you think you could pop your location in your profile then we would be able to see in future posts too
Assuming it's Cramlington (just north of Newcastle) that is one epic trip, hats off to you.
That limited fuel capacity is something i'm getting to grips with on my Wave too.
There is quite a lot of stuff on here as to fitting an aux tanks. A search for "aux tank" should bring up some reading matter. Or the easy way is with these;-

Plus this

Bit expensive but easy to use and useful on other bikes too.

I carried regular 5 little can, which was ok. There's always the faff of taking bags off the seat before refuelling. One thing that's amusing is watching the fuel gauge go down as quickly as that on a Jaguar XJ 6!

The aux tank prevents having to lift the seat. Aux tank is used as the main tank (it's bigger anyway) and the bikes original tank is the reserve.

Re: Epic journey on C90G
My C70C will do 80 miles from full to reserve. I find that I'm usually glad to have a reason to stop after 2hrs riding......
P.S. I don't do motorways on the cub.......
