71 Puch Maxi, 70CC fast, Mot'd £400

Post by supercub » Sun Jul 10, 2011 1:41 pm

right my circumstances are changing somewhat. And a little faster than I had anticipated.

Me and the girlfriend are looking at houses :-X

Annoyingly the one we are looking has a very small garden with no shed or anything....

Idealy the puch needs to go. :-[
Its not somthing I realy want to do as, riding thru the forest the other day kinda gave me another love for it.

But....

Its 70CC 1971 maxi S in purple.
(colour not stated on logbook so can be painted without changing it.)

MOT TILL : APRIL 5TH 2012
tax till : same << exempt and reg historic now too

BUILD THREAD :
http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... read=99924

Its had:

*Completely rebuilt engine
Inc bottom end bearings, seals , Clutch, case matched to the 70cc barrel

*tuned clutch (weighed and lightened)

*fuego exhaust (sounds absolutely epic!!)

*new brakes

*new tyres

*17mm magnum carb

*pushbike speedo for acuracy

*keys for ignition and fuelcap

Imho its probably good for around 50/55mph... Ive had 48 with loads left. ;D

COMES WITH LOADS OF SPARES TOO <if ya want em

*Two spare engines
*spare 15mm (new) carb and manifold
*all the original removed bits
*pair of wheels
*70cc highcompression head (used once~)
*my recently reworked but as yet un-tried clutch bell.
*brand new fuel tap ordered last week
*88 jet (current size) to fit the new replica 17mm carb if you decided to change it.

Put basically , I'm losing alot of money :-/
But maxis arnt worth alot more than this. But considering the parts, money and spec I think its a fair price.

Ill let my magnum kickstart e50 bottom end go for an extra £20 too.

Annoyingly if it doesnt go for this itll probably just stay in the shed. I just cant lose to much in such little space of time.

LOCATED : EASTLEIGH HANTS, Just outside southampton, 2 mins from the m27 or m3

I reccomend you read the build thread : here to see how much work has gone into it.
