Hello all
is one of these still available ? I have a 1976 C90 6v bike frame number C90 B122842 , if one of these is close to a fit I would happily cough up for postage and a few quid more .... I am in Meath in Ireland though

Regards
Bill
I'm always prepared to be wrong but think that a 1976 C90 would be a long shock bike so these would not fit. They have a large indentation that fits around the long shock mount on the swing arm.

Hello Bikerbaker ,
my bike has shocks that are "flattened" where they meet the swingarm , I don't think they would require a recess in the case however if the general size is correct I could easily alter them where needed .......
But if you think they are totally wrong I bow to your greater knowledge ?
Regards
Bill

Unlike others on here I don't possess any great knowledge.

However I do have an enquiring mind and did some research as to what the case fitted and my assumption that it fits the short shock bikes is based on the following.

Image
The indentation runs to the top of the case

Image
The C100 has long bottom mounts that fit in these

Image
The C90 chaincase has a smaller indentation to fit the smaller bottom mounts on long shock bikes. Eagle eyed viewers will notice this is a chaincase from a Chinese copy bike with a label "Do not entangle into chain". Same as a 12v cub though and the same principle for a 1976 C90 although I'm not sure it would fit same.

Diagram of a 1980's C90 (can't find one specific to a 1976)

Thing is the mounting holes are in different positions too, nothing to say that one couldn't be cobbled up but if it was me I'd start with something else.

Thanks for all the legwork , snips , images and info
I was more looking at the fact that the "extra" dimpling for the short shock bikes wouldn't be a problem , given that my existing chaincases are now virtually 4! piece instead of two as intended :) I would be happy to modify these to suit , I'm a big fan of full chaincases on bikes as final drive chains are a PITA .
If they are up for grabs I can PM details and stump up postage and a bit to cover the hassle
Regards
Bill

Just an afterthought.

Looking at the pic of Knapdogs new steed it would appear that these may fit the C90C as it has short shocks, borne out by a diagram in the workshop manual.

The 6v C90 top part has a hole at the back end and a cut out for the shock.

Swinging arm on the 6v C90,note it has a tab at the back that is not there on the 50/70.
Dont know if this is on all 6v C90's or just the later ones.
