Horobags........I meant to message you back to ask how you were getting on with the new sh300. Also was wondering if it has had the petrol tank moved to the bottom of the front leg shields like they’ve done with the new sh125 and does it have a led headlight ?

I’m just running the 06 sh125 you saw in the pics at the moment......bloody good scoots ( as you know) however I find it a bit nosier than the 300, but apparently some of the more recent ones are quieter and more economical than mine.

The white mint innova I had for sale is back on gumtree at £1300, it’s changed hands a couple of times since I sold it.....still decent nick, but bit rusty in places and he’s ditched the rack because it wasn’t a Honda one!

The 300 hasn't had major upgrades like the new 125, fuel tank is in the same place, getting 94 mpg is much better than the older model, I really dont think you can knock the SH 300 if you find it comfy. :)
I still look at innova's, but were moving house once the kung flu has faded and once the move is sorted I really fancy a c125.

The sh125 06 plate has more foot board room than the 300cc. In fact I reckon on the 300 if your over a size eleven you’d struggle, the 300 was about 06 plate as well.
When I had my 08 sh 300i stolen,i bought a 09 sh 125,it had more feet room for my size 11,s a much better seat/was a lot smoother,ok slower but I found it better, but now on my 4th sh 125.so I must like them. 8-)

That’s bloody good mpg and I reckon a fair bit more than my sh125 06, although I haven’t checked the mpg. I think the later versions of mine are better on the juice.
I still keep checking out the 300, but I haven’t seen any bargains for a while, either been hammered to death or slightly over priced. I very nearly bought a red 16/17 reg with 7,000 on it for £2900....but for whatever reason I didn’t. Saying that I’m having a blast nailing the 125. I just bought one of those leg covers it’s like the Tuscan urbano I had on my 300, but by a company called bagster, fella on gumtree was selling them for £15 plus £4 postage...bargain.....helps keep my legs warm as that’s the thing that seems to feel the cold most.
I was tempted with a c125 not long back as a saw some at really tempting prices. I do love the new sort of naked Honda 125 cub that I’m not too sure of the name of, but don’t think we’ll be getting them over here.

Richie, I think my 06 is noisier than the 300 I owned....just wondering with you having owned a few of the newer ones if they are a bit quieter and if so which year would you recommend if I ever bought another?
I was just saying to horrobags there’s a fella on gumtree if you search sh125 who’s selling leg covers like the urbano tucano, but by a brand called bagster £15 +£4 p&p.....seems to work well. What sort of mileage where you getting out of your sh125 in relation to there year?

Am riding a 16 reg. red one have had it since new now just over 4 years, its very quiet, just like the 3rd one which was in silver, have allways liked them because of being 6"2" tall its the size, but do own other scoots 2x Suzuki address,s and Honda vision 110 esp,[just greed] and all 4 are very comfortable back to the sh 125,its got stop/start don't use it much just turned it off.
As to mpg, very good does the most mpg then the others, for now, about 130 mpg,i have gone 170 miles then filled it up,had ome petrol in containers in garage, havent used this one as much as other sh125 as have other scoots, keep thinking do I want to change it..????
But don't know yet,i just don't like the new 2020 sh125,in red its nice, did sit on one at excel bike show back in feb.its got keyless and I don't like keyless, thats why am looking at the Honda sh 125 mode.
1st one did 40080 miles then the centre stand broke so that was it,was bloody quick,
2nd one did18600 miles god was this one slow, dont know why..??
3rd one did 18700 mikes much better smoother quicker more mpg and it had stop/start,which I turned off
4th one in red, just gone over 9500 miles just over 86000 mils on all, think I like them. 8-)

Bad back.....I’ve suffered quite a few years with mine, but recently it’s causing me such pain. It’s always been my lower back...it’s shocking and it’s not getting better, but now I also suffer with my mid back, sort of lower shoulder blade level......it’s a bloody nightmare.

Forgot to ask how what year was your third one which was also quiet? Was it just as quiet as your 16 reg and was it as economical?

Also, what sort of price you reckon yours is worth?

My two penarth is that yes, the foot boards are a little cramped for my size 9's on longer trips, and I too used an inflatable seat bag for more leg room.
The centre stand catches an awful lot of "weather" and a pain to keep clean/rust free. Mpg is roughly 80 odd without riding like a monk.
I also have an Innova with a much modified seat, which for me is essential for my 6ft.

What you have there is a cracking combination of bikes...exactly what I used to have.....best of both worlds.
