A very old thread which may help a bit. Most people seem to use a third party host, Photobucket used to be OK but held everyone to ransom a few years ago, tis why a lot of early pics are missing. I use Postimage for phone pics as this site doesn't like mine, for all camera pics I reduce the resolution to about 200k (using Paint) and they upload OK and seem to stay put.
There is a "sandbox" you can use to experiment loading pics.
