Geoff, do you mind me asking what you think of the SH300? Does it have a lot more power than the 125 when overtaking? I'm quite content with my Innova pottering along at 50mph but when I do overtake, I'd like to be able to do it a bit quicker.
Better let Tom Robinson answer that when he reads this.
I had a go on his SH300 when we were in the Isle of Man earlier this year I didn’t go that fast but I found the suspension much better & I think that the top speed is in the region of 90mph. It’s a much superior bike but suppose you get what you pay for.

Incidentally the SH125 has 13bhp, I think my Innover was 9bhp so the difference is quite significant.
The SH125 will cruse at about 65mph on the clock (60mph on the GPS).

I've got the Forza 300 (2014) and acceleration is excellent.
I find the engine extremely smooth above tickover and it cruises happily at 65, will top 85 (on the speedo) while returns an average 84mpg
I suspect the new SH300 will top this by a small margin.

Hope this helps

Pete

Thanks for the info. So is the Innova limited in some way and can it be altered?

I owned geoffs sh 125 before him, and Ive also had two sh 300's. The 300 is a fantastic machine, very smooth and fast, exellent brakes and handling, 80 mph and 80 mpg.
Saying that the 125 though should not be overlooked, the 125 engine is a peach, gets up to speed limits quick enough, over 100 mpg, similar handling and brakes and comfort to the 300, and the stop/start ESP engine is very refined.
If I was in the market for another SH ( I'm sure I will be ) I'd have a 300, only due to the fact mrs Horobags rides pillion a lot these days, but If I rode solo the sh 125 being an economical, caplable scoot would be on my shopping list.

Hi all,
I've got a 300i,it's a super little bike,I call it a bike as it's more like riding a bike with 16inch wheels (tubeless)and rapid acceleration,in a road test the 300i beat a CBR 250 in both acceleration and top speed.
My brother in law (age 82)recently bought a new CBR 250,he likes it and can't wait to get a few clicks on the clock to try it out but I haven't the heart to tell him my scooter is quicker than his bike.
I did 85 with the scoot when I first bought it and she was still going strong, suddenly it crossed my mind the front tyre was 10 yo so I slackened of and took it for a new tyre the day after.
Since having the new tyre fitted I get a slight wobble,so I am presuming the wheel needs balancing but to be honest iam not bothered about over 80 mph but I do enjoy the acceleration and the ability to do m ways at a real 70 mph(sat Nav)
Safe ridding
Tom

I'm on my third SH300 (well, I've got two in the garage - one is for sale if I get around to it). They are indeed superb machines and a step change from the SH125, which I've also had. I tend to thrash them and have embarrassed a few sports bike riders who have had to try a lot harder than expected to pass me on the B roads ( and a few who I passed ;) ).

All my models are the first generation and over about 75 mph there can be a bit of a weave telling me to ease off a touch. The newer models have a longer swinging arm to solve this. Performance seems to vary from bike to bike. My first one was best and would cruise about 85 if I was in a hurry. Consumption dropped proportionally to about 60mpg if held on the stop, but usually was mid seventies. When my wife rides it she gets about 90 mpg...

Handling is good and brakes are excellent. The standard topbox has an annoying mechanism and was replaced by a Givi. Throwovers mark the paint :( , but given the small underseat storage are a must for touring (especially two up). Longevity is good - my first bike did over 40K without issue before being stolen and abused in London. I eventually got it and it started first stab. Shame the forks were bent - grrrrr!

I bought the SH300 to replace a BMW R850R and admit that I wouldn't go back (gears by Massey Ferguson).

I found the SH125 very efficient, but rather soulless (unlike the Dylan), but that probably reflects my riding style.

I Am on my 4th sh 125,and they have all been different 1st one, bought new, still got it[sorned now]did 40080 miles,so quick ran it in for 70 miles, that whats the book said.so did use it lots, was still quick up to the time the centre stand fell off,was it loud rode it to High Beech, then back that was it.
sh 300i was also in my hands, black with top-box.did 2000 miles ,4 months then some xxxxxxx xxxxxxx nicked it,but the top-box I took off the day befour .cos went to Tesco, straight in with food.liked the extra power but didn't like it kept cutting out,[lots of them did] but of all the miles I have done on 4 sh 125,s just over 80100 miles ,none have ever done it.
2nd sh 125,bought 2/h with 212 miles up,17 months old,was this so slow and just as slow some 18000 miles later.
3rd sh 125,had very good p/x for above,this is so different from above two.smooth/quiet/more m.p.g / better brakes/quicker then 2nd.did 18500 miles up.but the red one now was out,3 silver sh125,s ,so after 3 years/18900 miles
4th sh 125i,in RED,you would have thought, baring the colour, was the same as the 3rd,oh no,its different then the 3rd sh125.quicker[but not like the 1st one]/gets to 45mph then kicks again/runs hotter..?????????????? Don't know why, couple of times the temp. needle has gone to high.1st scoot/mortorbike with a.b.s ,has it cut in just once, does more m.p.g/more range though.170 miles/ so you must think..?? That I like them,i do,am 6"3" tall,so it fits, just one thing though, the seat, keep being pushed forward,so have to push my self back when stopped.
Now upped to 4400 miles in 16 months si why has it got few miles up..?????????????////
Bccause I am greedy, also have got Honda vision 110,bloody brilliant this little scoot,
Suzuki Address an 110,scoot.but that another story  8-)

I've never heard of anybody who actually owned an AN110 Suzuki... I thought they were a myth!

Can I ask how much leg protection there is on the SH300?
