I was in my local bike shop today (Frank Shepherds in Lancaster) and was talking to Dave Shepherd. He's a decent bloke and I've done a bit of business with him in the past with no regrets. We went out back for a smoke and I spotted a nice toy! Yamaha 80 townmate, shaft drive model, that had introduced itself to the side of a car! Needs new forks as they are bent in and the legshields would need either a Big Repair or a replacement. It's on a "C" plate from 1985 and it runs and sounds pretty well.
He hasn't given me a price on it yet but he's open to offers always.
Anybody wants to ring and speak to Dave Shepherd for info' and tell him Steve with the XBR mentioned it and he will talk happily.
01524 65627 is his number.
I'd be happy to take it and have fun myself but I have Zero Earth Pounds to use!
