Honda C90 swap

Post by royboy » Wed Jun 02, 2010 2:52 pm

I have just purchased a 1990 C90 (mot Oct 2010)and do not wish to take a test and was wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping for a C50?

Just thought i would say that you can only ride a 50cc on a driving licence obtained before FEB 2001 and it will state that you can ride moped's on the licence, failing that its a CBT, there is now a test that can be done that will restrict you to 125 without having to do your CBT every 2 years but again it means you would have to go through the full test to ride bigger bikes, not sure if the theory test is needed for that one but if its scoots your into its worth a look.

A c50 is a motorbike the same as a 90 you can only ride a moped ( limited to 30mph) with cat P on your license.c50 needs cbt and L plates.

Unless you go for an automatic C50, which is classed as a moped...

A CBT will literally take 2 hours out of your life! Less hassle to do that than swap about bikes - plus you get a 90cc that can actually keep up with traffic.

Plenty of old (pre '77 moped restriction law) C50s got 'moped' on the logbook when new, and there's no arguing with a V5!!
Worth asking what a potential purchase is registered as!
