1996 C90 Cub - Tax and Test

Post by Bobn » Tue May 25, 2010 12:01 pm

Well, I've decided it's got to go. I've got this 1996 Cub and a 1983 C90C and I've just bought a 1966 CM91. I can't bear to part with the C90C so the Cub is for sale.
It's got MOT until 23rd August and Tax until 30th September.
You can see all about it here http://www.aimcc.co.uk/Bobsblog.html, there are photos and a write up of the work I've done to it
When I got it it had a rotten inner rear mudguard, not the outer chassis part, just the tin can thin inner part. I ripped it out and fabricated a new guard from new 1mm thick steel plate and welded it all back up. It's now stronger than it was when new.
The engine and the bike in general have been faultless. Everything works, it runs lovely and will cruise all day at 40 with my 17st on board.
It has a "cats Paw" semi knobbly on the back and a ribbed tyre on the front, which will need replacing soon.
It's had a new centre stand and pivot pin, new seat cover and any rusty bits have been cleaned up and hammerited.
During my time with it it's had 400 mile oil changes on 10W40 Semi Synth oil.
It has the roller bearing head engine (all original) and steams along very well as a result. No rattles or smoke, starts first kick.
It's got 16300 miles on it, believed genuine. I'm still using it daily though, so that will rise a bit
It is a cracking bike and needs nothing doing to it. I'd like it to go to a good home and stay in the C90club family.
Looking for £400 or offers (not stupid ones), I'm losing money at that price anyway!
