C70 - 1982 - £1100 - Hadleigh, Essex Sold

Post by Capitano » Mon Mar 11, 2019 10:18 am

Advertised on Cubchat message boards, but repeated on here.

Here's the link to the cubchat thread: http://www.cubchat.co.uk/message.php?id=22976

here's the text of the advert:

Hello,
My name is Maria and I am selling my 1982 C70 and was wondering if anyone on this forum would be interested before I advertise it elsewhere ?
It has been sympathetically restored and is a lovely little bike, it is a round headlight red and white version
I do have the screen , top box and rack.
I am asking £1,100
I was going to add an image, but got message about a URL address, I'm afraid I'm not a very techy person and did not understand :s
If anyone would like more details please do not hesitate to contact me and we can sort out getting some images sent.
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards
Maria

Looks very nice in the flesh too. I've seen it a couple of times, once quite recently I think, at The Shepherd and Dog (bottom pic). :)

Any reason the rear light has been installed upside down? :?:

To check the MOT history I'd like to confirm the Reg no.
Neither EPO nor EPD 810Y are being recognised on the gov.uk site.

Sorry, got it. It's EPU.

This, of course, is a C70C, the first of the 12 volters. They are not common, particularly in red. I've only ever seen them in blue.

I've seen a red one. I was going to buy it when I got back from the Isle of Man TT in 2012.

Unfortunately I'd never been to the TT before and rather underestimated how much it would cost me!

Hi all,
I am now the very proud owner of the above bike. It’s been 30 years since I’ve owned a cub 50 and I’ve been hankering after another Cub for the last 10 years.i’m over the moon with Maria’s bike. Many thanks to capitano for posting the ad here or I wouldn’t have seen it. I am unable to mark the advert as ‘sold’.
Hopefully I’ll see some of you guys in the north Herts/Essex area sometime.
Regards
Ed

Welcome and congratulations! Thank you for purchasing this bike and removing temptation, I have no room for it anyway. Having seen it several times it was well worth it. :D
