Re: My New? ST70
Hi Jim
It truly saddens me that you had to sell the Sunbeam as I appreciate how much it meant to you my Silverwing went for much the same reason, I went to a Virago 535 because it was lighter to push into the garage, but have since got Innova 125 to potter about on
Hopefully you can get your newest aquisition down that gravel drive of yours ok, not an easy task when I tried it

Re: My New? ST70
Hi Bern, like you I’m very sorry to hear that you had to dispose of your Silverwing, I know it must have meant as much to you as my Sunbeam did to me. We seem to share the same problems or similar, I know how much you loved your motorcycling and share your grief but with all my heart I wish you better health for the future.
You may remember that lovely Honda Foresight 250 I have - strangely enough all due to you! Well I still have it and looking like new - with my added Givi deluxe Windscreen, plus a beautiful NLA OEM chrome carrier on which I mounted a new Givi top box and with just over 5000 original miles on it.....if THIS BIKE has any appeal to you you must let me know, you may have seen my advert for it on Muppets BUT price asked then has no bearing on a very confidential offer especially to and for you. PM me - ok pal?
PS the Foresight is Red and just as it left the works at Honda.
Ive tried to put a photo here but system says ‘file too large’ pic can be found on Muppets under Foresight for sale.

Hi Jim
Thanks for your kind thought but at the moment I doubt 'herself' will be talking to me if I get another machine, already have four in the garage with less than 150 miles between them in the last 12 months I hope to get across to Norfolk later this year, will call in & take you down the pub for a meal & a jar or two

Re: My New? ST70
Everything’s happening all at once, today I received a complete ST/CT70 Honda repro shop Manual, then later UPS delivered my new centre/Prop stand, quite massive, well made. No instructions so have to find out the hard way! Raining at present so job for later.....
I Intended to add photos but ‘file too large’ prevents it. No way to reduce photo size on iPad!

Stand fits with four M8 bolts on the bottom of the engine, just take the old footrest off and it fits in the same place.

Re: My New? ST70
Interestingly the ‘Honda Shop Manual covers ONLY the engine, no reference to the chassis/body at all.Jimo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 11:50 amEverything’s happening all at once, today I received a complete ST/CT70 Honda repro shop Manual, then later UPS delivered my new centre/Prop stand, quite massive, well made. The stand incorporates both the centre stand AND the prop stand - only prob is it’s assembled DRY so have to remove strong springs to dismantle for greasing.
Jim
Thanks Steve for the photo, pity I can’t do these!

Re: My New? ST70
This looks like a job better done on the bike lift, at moment the Foresight stands on it so a bit of sorting has to be done here, could prove interesting working underneath the bike - bearing in mind my health with ‘half a heart’ at 83; - that’s what the doc told me anyway - bless him! - (stupid man).
The underside of my stand looks different to yours having 4 holes, again file too large to print.
