Hi all just picked up a monkey z50j1 1978, I have no v5c for the bike, I do have a dating letter from Honda, could someone point in the right direction for obtaining a v5c.
Thanks in advance

I just mot'd mine on the chassis number, insured it on the chassis number temporarily and gave dvla £55 and £21 Road fund with the same HUK date confirmation letter.
Mine is 1980 and like yours avoids any vat and taxes.
That was the quickest way for me to get it on the road but currently you'll probably be waiting due to dvla back logs just processing you a v5.

Just got myself a z50j1, so thought I'd register and say hi :D

Mine also has no v5. I gave HMRC cars team a call to find out what needed to be done. Very helpful and told me what I needed to do. Sounds pretty straight forward, although I'll probably leave it a bit until mine is actually roadworthy.

I called the number on this HMRC page https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-i ... lling-hmrc
