carb problem

Post by BeardyBiker » Sat Feb 29, 2020 7:32 pm

I have a 1969 Z50A and having a carb issue. It is leaking fuel from the breather pipe at the bottom. I have tried readjusting the float, cleaned or replaced most things that can be cleaned or replaced but still there is a steady flow of fuel as soon as I turn the fuel tap on. The bike starts and runs fine but Im leaving a trail of fuel behind. Can anyone assist?

IT could be that the tip of the valve is not sealing ,small rubber bit on top the hole may need cleaning too with a bit of wood ,tooth pick with the end cut off ;) If it does not seal the fuel will flow for ever ,
