Ditto but mine was a 2cv, I remember a long job down to the West Country, so took the 2cv and the Wife and made a weekend of it.
I used to deliver printing plates to companies in Norfolk and Suffolk. If it was a Friday or Saturday I would sometimes use the GS1220 and collect the wife, daughter and caravan for a weekend away at short notice.

Also found the GS with it's hydropneumatic suspension would carry about half a ton and stay level with the bonus that it cleaned the rear discs up nicely. :D

Dropping the Citroens into Low ride position when parked was a great way to stop a wheel clamp being fitted.

Never tried that but more than once Drove miles on a flat tyre because the suspension kept the car balanced
and ride height equal.
Was always the burning rubber smell or other drivers pointing that got my attention
