How much bling 
I guess mine fits in somewhere in between your 2. It needs a bit of fettling but it's taxed and MOT'd and useable as it is. It may end up a resto, or I may just keep it as it is for a few years as nothing major needs doing to it. My boys (4 & 6yrs) have already started calling it 'their' bike
