No mark, sorry, i have to rebuild the loom of mines as it starts but the light is dim, I'm planning on rebuilding the loom completely anyway. its a part i have not tackled yet, as i know the engine starts no problem. and I'm sorting the mechanical mods before i tackle the electrics, it has a Suzuki GS 125 front fork, disk brake and wheel fitted, and i need to machine sprocket carrier and get specialist sprocket cut for the rear to fit the GS rear wheel to so it will be running better brakes and alloys. its getting the full cafe racer treatment.

well I'm actually a member of the yammy 100 forums as well... i did the front end got it working and all good... i have the back wheel ready to get the machining done, project went on hold after me cub got nicked last year... but once my blue bike is done this spring (most the bits are here now) and I have something on the road, and i flog the SR125 when i stuff a yrs test on it, ill be putting the cash i get from that into the RXS... pjam, I'm gonna be doing my own seat hump, with fibreglass same way you was planning to in one of your posts, thats why i said use florists foam, cos i had done some homework on this previously.

heres the bike just after the GS125 front end was grafted on... but before the engine came out to go get work done. i only had the bike a week at this point.

and a short video of her running (i bought her as a non runner off local breakers, i cleaned carb out, and fiddled about till i got her to fire up) she needs a rebore, so i thought sod it if engine needs to come out to get new crank seals, piston etc, I'm gonna go to town on her and get her done sweet.

The wheels are a 18" and rear one is 3.00 front is 2.75. and to fit rear, the sprocket carrier needs shaved down by around 6mm and suitable spacer made up for other side to keep everything lined up. also need a sprocket made up to match the GS stud pattern but keeping the RXS gearing. this isn't that expensive over buying off the peg sprockets. i got 2 made up at same time so i have a spare.

Bodywork wise i need to sort out keeping the YEIS system in place, but slimming down the rest. frame needs brackets shaved off, and generally tidied up. I'm at that head scratching time with it, where i have a rough vision, but until i get to nitty gritty I'm unsure if it will work as planned, so might need revision. main goal is get weight off it. lighter it is, and more tuned the engine is... quicker it will go... simples.

Great bike. I've always had a soft spot for the RX-S. A mate bought a new one on tick back in '84.. As soon a she got it home he chucked the indicators away and set about making it a little cafe racer.. I remember him finding out the smallest legal rear light.. it was a ridiculous 1" x 2" or something! Those clip-on looking handlebars got fitted, and various porting and polishing done. He painted it in the Marlboro Racing scarlet & white. It would fly when it wasn't melting pistons! :D
It handled really well, and would see off most learner-spec 125s. It looked a lot older than its A-reg (still current new reg then) which would get people doing double-takes. Years later I rode various RX125s and RX-Gs (135cc? from memory) in India and they seem to be the ubiquitous work bike in certain areas there. A joy to ride.
