These tyres will have a much lower rolling resistance and the weight savings on all the parts will lead to much better MPG. It looks strange but compelling at the same time.

It is a nice bike, and the good thing for us fans of small bikes is, that it seems its the way the big bike makers are leaning.. towards frugal, small capacity models. a few of the concept bikes on show this year and in previous couple years have been along these lines. Very nice bike indeed, if they were to product ionise it, then sure it needs some changes... like more cooling fins on the motor, maybe a more substantial thickness of seat, slightly beefier disks.
