Amazing what you find on t' interweb..... Yet another Japanese limited edition thing we couldn't have...
Basically a nice retro styled generic Vespretta shape scooter, powered by a 4-speed C50 engine, complete with chain drive.
Why don't the Chinese make these rather than all that CVT belt drive nonsense. :(

Still got a heel an toe gear change, none of the daft cable stuff :) I love how on the speedo they've printed the word 'Speed'

That's for the speed light. LED comes on when you go over 50km/h. Jap-spec C50s have the same thing. (See Black Country Pete's Cubra)

Lovely thing isn't it. It'll handle far better than anything with an engine bolted to the back suspension too! I want one!!! :P

Naaaaa, you sure Boo? I can't see you on it. Scooters always look like town bikes to me ..... apart from the little wheel, pot holes thing.

Its a lovely wee thing, bit like me old triumph T10... agree with comment on why won't they do something like this in china instead of the twist n go jobs. i like to have a gearbox on my bikes.

it just so happen i have
Image
a smally made out 4 difo machines so far, sitting awaiting a an indian bajaj engine bases on the gt/rally engine of the 60's and a malossi 166cc top end. long stoker too. just got to find a 12v electronic kit for it that int 150/200 quid to buy. 80mph straight liner me thinks. with rally going pretentions. :D
once owned a frame that once had a yammy 350lc under it, that used a swingarm and chain drive
Image
guy broke it to make a rossa lambretta.
that frame was then planned to have a rg gamma engine in, but instead i swapped it for a trike project.

that frame has so much metal in it. it alomst take to lumps, to carry it. it is truely a monster.
and that is some thing the 50/90 cub engine is will struggle with on a pressed steal monocop frame. don't know what the body of the honda is, but the smally there, its a 50 special frame by the way (the frame after they did away with the pedals). even they are heavy. needs an aprila rotax under it. ;)

I really like that 8-) At the risk of appearing predictable I'd ride one! I think I'd want a bit more poke than the 50 though, wonder if you can get a YX140 under the plastic  Then again you might have cooling issues, as I see they've already fitted an oil cooler just for the standard motor.

Does that have any legal standing in Japan, ie are there different speed limits for different types of machine or is it just a bit of H&S nonsense? My Fusion had a speed warning light, but that came on when you exceeded 80kph. It doesn't work anymore since I put a UK-spec mph speedo in. When I was in New Zealand, a mate had a Jap import Honda Prelude XX which not only had a light but a rhythmic buzzer that got faster as the car went faster - well annoying
