Opinions.... BMW GS Vs KTM 990 Adventure?
Which do you think is the best for adventure riding?
For me I think its probably the KTM 990 (In orange of course ), I would love one of these one day, to just get on and go and explore the world for a few months
Some people say the GS is a better bike though?

Last year at Rhayader me and Fizzy went to the chip shop, parked out side was a gang of 4 on KTM's, I was very impressed, they look so functional, built for the job and smacked of quality.
Are you trying to pick a new bike for next years Matlock AG

Noooo will only be the 90's at Matlock Even the KTM boys were to scared to go where we had been!!
I've been looking at the Trial Bantams as well tonight, bloomin lovely things, there's a lovely one that sits where we get the bikes MOT'd part of me wouldn't mind one of them when i've passed me test, but as always, i'll probably stick with the cub
Could be fun Would still have the cub as well of course

Not sure what I'd say as I welcomed 'Bike Number 19' to the household!aliengravy wrote:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BSA-BANTAM-PRE-65 ... 500wt_1156

would depend where you intended keeping it, and how much you paid for it.
You could always buy your own shed you know....

Oh, and I'd rather you came home with that than a KTM

Only because the cost of the KTM would mean you have to clear the garage out!Newtsalad wrote:Oh, and I'd rather you came home with that than a KTM
And if i had my own shed, I wouldn't be able to keep you out of it It would have too many 'toys' in it

Hi,for style, looks and off road ability probably the KTM .The BMW GS you know is going to be ultra reliable ,heavy and staid but will have a good resale value even in many years to come.I like both but the KTM would edge it.

i voted for the beemer, simply cos i love those boxer engines and they can do awesome mileages, would love a old R90S in the silver/orange blend.... mind you i do love an orange bike so KTM gets the colour vote.
