Interesting discussion, I would have said much the same about Royal Enfield a few years ago, yet here I am with an 18 month old RE 350 classic that’s done 8500 miles and is turning out to be one of the best built bikes I’ve owned, Hondas included.
I am currently waiting to see the new CFMoto 450 when it’s released later this year. The Chinese bikes have come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. I used to help a young lad locally with the maintenance of his Lexmoto ZS125. The paint coatings were not great, but the bike, when looked after properly, was very reliable, especially as it was used every day and kept outside. Just needed a bit more TLC.
