Suzuki 125 Motorcycle
Chatting with a mate whose son after a new commute bike I suggested Suzuki 125 GSXR
I nearly fell off my seat, on PCP with a £1000 deposit over 37 months at 14000 miles a year (yes thousand not 100) is under £89 a month even in today's silly interest rates (9.9%)
OK I know dealer service costs etc but at 42K on the it's pretty much tired so hand it back rather than pay final settlement fee.
I so wish I could get my dodgy back to allow me to get a leg over the pillion hump (believe me I've tried) it would be a perfect only bike

= £4293 to borrow a 125 for 3 years with nothing back at the end of it.
I know some folks love PCP, but from an economics standpoint, it's a tad unappealing.
Onthewheel's PCP deal is even less appealing as it's a 4000 mile annual limit.
The bike does look nice, though.

I'm not a fan but to hand a bike back with 42000 on the clock and 3 UK winters under its belt tempting.
If I was doing that many miles, I'd actually consider it myself!

Sorry to be so negative but...
I understand why a teenager might find a bike which looks like it it is designed for a race track appealing but as a commuter machine it could be a bit impractical and overpriced. Ridiculous seat hump as you have mentioned and also no space for carrying so much as a lunch box let alone some wet weather riding gear and a puncture repair kit. After a few weeks of commuting another youngster could be put off two wheelers for ever! Expensive bikes are also expensive to insure, especially for a young rider.

2. It's fully faired. Despite scepticism, a fully-race-faired-that's-not-really-a-race-faired bike is pretty cool at keeping wet and cack off your riding clothes.
3. Fitting luggage to sports styled bikes is big business, hence there are a multitude of solutions for storage, most of which are quickly detachable
4. It's a geared bike. The most nicked bikes are auto scooters as they can be used as criminal tools for a variety of other purposes, including stealing high end motorcycles. A 17 year old would be likely to be able to insure one of these for less than a PCX or Nmax 125.
5. It's motorway-suitable for longer commutes.
6. It's available on PCP with a crazily high mileage allowance and a reasonable deposit. PCP is usually a massive no-no for anyone that looks at things like an economist (like me for instance) but even I can see the appeal of a 3 year deal, covering 42000 miles, and simply handing it back, hassle free after 3 years at less than £90 per month.

Don't forget the £500 discount after a test ride ,then purchase though likely already in the advertised price. (though good luck trying to find a 125cc demo bike from my previous experience)
My whole point was tongue in cheek but as Capitano states most deals (if not all major brands) limit PCP to 4K a year 14K is unreal
Most sporty 125cc bikes are now over 5 grand to buy but today's youth don't see that as an issue. I still engage with today's yoof as dementia lead conversations with my mates a bit repetitive (please don't jump down my throat on that comment I'm well aware of the destruction of dementia)
If I was tech savvy (& could get on the bloody thing) I'd do the Suzuki deal create my own dedicated YouTube,/ Instagram/Twitter etc and earn off the back of the 3 year onwnership

So friends lad opted for a Herald 'brat' which was to be collected weekend of the 12th.
Since then a safety recall means a two week (anticipated) delay. Reason for recall swing arm issues
Today dealer let slip it's Heralds second attempt at swingarm recall for safety
Advised to cancel order so he opted for the 'maverick' at £700 less
As young won't listen to us old farts to bin Herald & go mainstream.
Time will tell
