Honda Forza 350

Mate has Forza 350 & on going to use today no power at the twist part of the ignition. Due to time constraints called the AA (can't have been in that much of a hurry ) but AA man couldn't get to the battery as seat won't release.

I read somewhere how to get round this but buggered if I can recall where (search button here no result)

Any help from the forum please (other than new fob battery) to access main battery/release seat

Taken from another source (ie not my own experience):-

You will need the hexagonal plastic key that came with the bike

1. Remove the " neckguard " panel around the ignition switch.

2. This give access to the key slot where the hexagonal plastic key fits to release the seat.

3. Insert the key and turn it. The seat catch should open

PS: Before anyone gets uptight that we're allowing security bypass information on the forum. WE'RE NOT!

If we thought that this information could be used in theft of or from a vehicle we wouldn't post it.

Apparently I'm overthinking it as usual it's simply a screw removal to access battery area but tight fit hence the reason I never got round to fitting an optimate charger lead

Did I mention I just bought a 2020 Forza 300 the hex key fits into a 14 mm spanner/socket, it has a small ridge on one of the sides not sure what that does though.

I have a Honda sh300.
It uses the same hex key to operate seat mechanism in an emergeny . On the 'sh' the hex end fits into a 'female hex and an 1/8 or 1/4 turn an seat is open.

Still got the Xevo which keeps cutting out at junctions, so it is in this morning for a hook up to the diagnostics, once sorted I will sell it. The Piaggio does seem faster off the mark than the Forza but I am off to Rhayader on Thursday on the Honda for a few days so will have a chance to check it out more.
