latest CB300R any thoughts?

Must admit they are still on my short list ,but been doing some touring and longer trips down to devon so might hang on a bit yet ,also looks like the place i commute to might be closing next year so no more tight filtering !
Have seen they might be releasing a cb retro model like the cb300,but its going to have a new hornet 750 twin in it !

I have to say that for long trips I wouldn't personally be happy with the CB300, at least not without changing the gearing. At 70 mph in top its at nearly 8000 rpm which is fine for fast A roads with plenty more revs available if needed. But to maintain motorway speeds for more than 30 minutes would strain my nerves a bit even if the bike can cope with it. Also as a very light bike loading it with significant amounts of luggage would take away some of its zing.
