Look on e-blag for a BMW G310R. You get the first generation for under 3 grand usually with lots of bling (if your prepared to travel)

Folk seem to tire of them very quickly (likely the top speed thing) and move on to bigger toys & I liked mine so much now the lad has it I'm considering another.

List price has gone up £300 but still being offered on 0%

Did ride a GS310 ,mate works at a dealers, it was a bit slow , although I had just been out on a R9T so that didnt help !
the Ninja is 710mm wide compared to 800mm for the Z400 and CB300r
I could possibly get some new bars for both , you cant move the existing switch gear in much otherwise

Quite tempted by a 400 superdream , but Ive enough old bikes already ,need something jump on and go with minimum maintenance.
Someone is coming to view the SH when im back so I might break the C90 out and get it Motd , it was my regular commuter before and did the job well enough ,plus they didnt try to pinch it

For me in my commuting days I needed new/reliable/close dealers as I didn't have time to p*** about.
A deal breaker was no loan bike during service time but then I did ride 100 miles a day just for work.

I killed several 125cc and the SH 300 was a good tool (but shi** in the snow ) I had an undersized rear number plate to stop cloning & the local yoof used to ask a lot about it being 300cc (it wasn't but being a scooter) but then nicking Vespas was in and the in yoof ride of choice was some of the last remaining Gilera runners

Could you not swap 300 badges for 125 as cosmetically they look the same

I guess i could disguise it ,ive kind of gone off tbe idea of a scooter and dont like to leave it anywhere ,which is a pain as i like to nip into town and stick it in tne free bays

I do like the look of the g310 might keep it as a fallback in case I dont like the kawasaki

they do look good style wise ,the fit and finish looks good ,had a read up,a few niggles with water pumps ,but did read about stands snapping off and needing new frames.Surely they are not using 1970s monkey metal again !

Nice bike & engine but both the lad & I at under 6' tall found the footpegs in the wrong position and on putting foot down caught the inside of the calf.
Sure we could have adapted but it didn't feel right which was a shame as I think Yam' have put a lot into their bikes lately
