Sym symba 110 duel sport conversion.

Hi all just brought a beat up sym symba, it was stolen and recovered but took a shoeing of the scroats in the process, I'm turning it in to an extream enduro ped long shocks trials bash guard cut down body work etc. Anyway my question is it has a vacuum petcock on the tank ran but a shit load off pipeing coming of what looks to be some sort of crank case /cylinder head breather system that is also plumbed into the intake spigot after the carb, does anyone know what majic this system performs, it also has like filters with diaphams and springs inside them. It's a right perlarva. I'm assuming it's something to do with fuel economy I suppose but seems abit overkill on a 110cc any info would be much appreciated as one of the filters is broken and if I want to get fuel out the bloody pet cock the vacuum must be as normal.
