That looks like a 4-1 Motad, so should be a good 'un anyway.

Can’t go and play today as I’m on chauffeur duties for the missus - it’s killing me.

Yes it’s a Motad exhaust, bars feel like ape-hangers except at the wrong angle for the wrists.

First outing on the 750 Hondamatic today.

Boy she is cold blooded, it’s either the jetting to meet US emissions, or there’s a lot of crap in the carbs. Once warmed up though she romps along at quite a pace and surprisingly comfortable too.

54 miles so that’s about 2 gallons of premium Shell out of the exhaust along with half a bottle of Redex.

It’s a bike that would be very easy to put a lot of miles on, I went to Southend just for a brake bleed nipple plug and the only thing that annoyed me was the newish 50mph limit on the A127 from the Fortune of War roundabout onwards.

The list of parts and ‘things to do’ is growing by the minute, brake pads, brake hose, carb kit etc. At leat the tyres, battery and chain/sprockets are new.

Tis annoying innit. If Tuesdays at the Dick Turpin was still running the authorities would be making a fortune.

Yup, I agree Cap'n, I Disagreed with the mighty Boo on this too. IMO chopper bars should ALWAYS follow the line of the forks, anything else is plain wrong!

I'm not into choppers, never had a liking for leathers with frills, or wearing chaps. But I agree, line of bars should follow forks. Those bar extenders look a bit dodgy as well. Saw Peter Fonda ride that up Goodwill hill a few times at the age of 70 plus, took 5 or 6 bystanders to catch him every time he stopped.

Although looking at the following link, the bike looks like nothing like the one you loaded Newt, but the bars are in line

Henry Coles Motorbike show was doing a restoration of a Leon Wallace chopper from the 70's last year, we reclaimed my friends Harley Davidson's chopper from the Leon Wallace shop in Putney in the late 60s, he had done most of the work on the bike, but was making money on it by loaning it out to a fashion shop in Carnaby Street. It had a tear drop tank (the only one in the UK), American civil war sword used as the gear change lever. All chrome frame and twisty forks. Bike never ran properly, it had Wal Phillips injectors fitted.
A couple of shops along the street was Paul Dunstall's shop that made good cafe racers, more my type of bike.

Loving the chop in the Just Eat ads. Snoop Dog gets my vote too. Anyone willing to send themselves up like that get's my vote.

The Captain America bike is cool, a bit dated now not into fishtail zorsts or high rise backrests.
