Getting the old brain-box to work out how a torque converter works is proving ........ perplexing.

I’ve done plenty of stuff with the scooter rubber belt drives and Comet type go cart systems.

I’ll have nowt to do with anything that needs sensors to make it work.

Thank you all for your kind words, I’ll be having words with BogBrush later (needs a good shanking).

Well now at least I understand what the stator part of the torque converter does and why variable vane types were too expensive to make.

I think the Zonda has proven the adage - if you have enough power, you don’t need gears (their hybrid has just a single gear with torque converter).

Did you know that up until the 1970’s whale oil was still a constituent of auto-trans fluid and reliability plummeted once it was banned.

Anyhoo, I’ve been a busy bunny

I haven’t collected them yet as I’m waiting for lockdown to ease at the end of the month, I had my first Covid jab last week so that’s good.

Very nice, I think one of the Preston Chicken Chasers has a couple of Honda autos, including the 750. Never seen them but the time I met him he chose to break down on a British machine.

The 400 looks good in red, needs some luggage though. :D

Do you know what, that looks remarkable like my old bike.

I bought it with the fairing and panniers, but it took me ages to find the top box.....then I sold it.

Lovely bikes mate, but I cannot abide Comstar wheels. You gotta come up and see me. I'm lonely too.
