I see no mention of stop start in the write up from Honda ,if it had it they would have been singing it loud.Saving weight with the starter motor and roller rockers is mentioned but nothing new realy ,anybody got a dynastart ?

It wasn't meant to be I don't think. More of a need to switch production from India to China at the time.

This one looks like a concerted effort to dominate the market for geared general-use 125s. 8-)

I've seen a few vids of this new 125 too, its a bit cheaper than the last model, the engine tech is improved but the rear shocks look less robust, the pillion footpegs arn't the best, I hope Honda havn't made it too budget.

I took a different view. The changes make it closer to what a CG was, a budget commuter. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that niche. Honda has other 125s that are more of a premium product.

Saving money on pillion pegs and shocks is perfectly acceptable given most won't be carrying a pillion a lot.

I'd rather they spend the money on the motor.

The scoot I want to trade in for the CB125 is my Silverwing 600, first I need to sort out a rubbing noise on it in the CVT transmission when you push it around, could be a clutch shoe stuck on a peg or an internal bearing gone dry.
By the time we start riding again, having a small lightweight bike would be a good idea for me at my old age to learn again.
The bikes are available but no road tests on YouTube yet.

Its actually €2799 in France same price as UK (has to be a first and won't be for long)

Re: SilverWingy thing...could just be a bit of muck on the belt and sticking as it goes round..I had that on a Majesty also same sound on another but was a strip of rubber from the belt had torn but was still attached and being dragged around the variator :o

Lyn, I get the noise when I push the bike around without the engine running, so the belt is not turning. I've had the covers off and everything looked OK. I did not look inside the clutch or varidrive as at the time my impact wrench was broken. When I turn the rear wheel by hand there is a scraping noise, the clutch is not turning, but the clutch drum and shaft is. There is a needle bearing in the Inside of the clutch unit which it could be, but my monies on the clutch shoe touching the drum as I turn it. Same sound as when you adjusted drum brakes in the past.
I just hope its not something in the axle case.
A bit of history on the scoot, it was dropped in a water ford crossing years ago on a ride out, so maybe rust decay on the shoes/springs is a factor.
I don't think its right to trade in a bike with this known fault, I have done about 6000 miles with it being audible, the noise goes away when the clutch is engaged and the bike as moving
Just need to fix it and Px for it an easy to service air cooled 125.

Anyone seen the bike or any rider rewiews, I think a batch of them has arrived in England?
( Silverwing fault was a sealed ball bearing broken up in the driven clutch unit).
Hope to get all 4 bikes through the MOT next week, and be able to ride greater distances on them soon.
