its sad that dealer PDIs are often not done correctly or at all

The gear lever looks like its hanging of the lever, but it fact its not. The spline has a groove on it as usual and is designed that way, If you try to fit it any other way inwards the lever will hit the engine case, so in this case you are wrong,

did have a talk with a person looking over 2 cb125f ,who worked at the dealer,both bikes had the gear lever looking like it wasen,t on full.he said he didnt like it,but it is what it is.
and this is the 1000 post since i joined this forum,where i have met some wonderful and very weird people.but if we were all normal life would be boring.

I thought I would post an update on my 2022 Honda CB125F now it has exceeded 2,000 miles.
It is running better than ever and has loosened up nicely so I decided to see how far I could get on a tankful of fuel.
Riding normally, albeit sticking to under 50 mph most of the time, it managed an incredible 510.9 miles before I succumbed to re-fuel as the last fuel bar started flashing with the range indicator stating I had under 30 miles range left.
Strangely, on a reputed 13 litre sized petrol tank, I managed to squeeze 13.19 litres of E10 petrol into it - which by my calculations works out at 175.83 mpg.
At 2,220 miles I have not, as yet, had to adjust the chain or indeed anything else, it has used no oil since its initial service at 600 miles.
All in all, in my opinion, this is a very under-rated bike which gets used more and more in these times of escalating fuel prices.

That’s a fantastic mileage from a tank, it’s actually really good to know real-world tank fill ups. You see so many reviews these days where they will quote the manufacturer’s stats instead of a couple of weeks properly testing it out

it seems some greedy dealers are charging more for 2nd bikes then some for new ones.and i have seen private sales just as high .no way .

It's a simple case of supply & demand my friend
The dealers are struggling to get new bikes into their showrooms which in turn pushes up values of used bikes

It's the same for cars and especially vans and made even worse by the new London Emission Zones of £12.50 per day

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out regarding fuel costs

I might have to sell the superdream if fuel prices keep on rising ,was going to have a test ride on a mt07 but maybe i should go back to a 125 , had a Benelli tnt125 , Honda CD175 and Yamaha RXS100 before as commuters .Hanging on until the new dax is out ,but if not will break out the cub for another winter .
As you say the prices for used Cb125 s are crazy ,id rather buy new
