6 week update
Thanks for the update, Pete, and please keep us updated. I've a feeling that Honda are onto a winner with this bike, especially as it seems to be in a class of one!

Quick question, is it keyless?

Fortunately, this bike has a good old fashioned Ignition Key that copes with managing the ignition, the steering lock and the seat unlock mechanism, no key fobs with this one!

Dave Weller has a screen and top box on his. It looks perfectly in proportion

Richie I think its spot on, i can't see the point of over complicatiing a simple design 'if it ain't broke'

I've spent a lot of time with my mate in dealers the last few weeks looking at high end bikes and seriously whilst leaning abs, traction control that dictates how far the front wheel lifts, rear wheel steps out has its place :?: there is no way the home mechanic can DIY (you can't even spin the rear wheel on the centre stand to oil the chain with causing a dash light to come on resulting in pulling fuses to reset  )

In answer to your question the CHonda is a 428 O ring so see no reason the new version shouldn't be.

I shall be looking at machines for the masses again next week so will confirm for you

Can anyone explain how my electric starter works, the traditional starter motor and sprag clutch has been removed on this engine, yet the the bike stars shortly after pressing the button, Is it magic. I was at the 1066 cafe today and had no answers on the subject from the assembled Honda NC bikers.
Richie the big rear brake pedal may be designed because the brakes are linked from the footbrake operation, a clever idea, linking from the rod operating the drum rear brake, a second hydraulic master cylinder operates part of the front disc, so in practice I now do most braking on the footbrake which prevents the forks depressing under braking, aiding corner speed.
The engine is vibration free through out the rev range without the need for rubber mounting. I think it has a balancer shaft.
The Headlight is LED but all other lights are normal bulbs. I wonder how much the LED units cost to replace on bikes (£248 for a C125)
I'm running LED's in the House and they are not fit and forget.

I read they power the stator to spin the engine ,my old aircooled Rd200dx worked that way. ,cuts down on weight, parts and a simpler setup . It spins the engine on the Rd really quickly and worked well
