The Silverwing passed its MOT yesterday, the CB125F should be on sale at the end of the month, I need the garage space and the S/wing does take up a lot of room.

Thing is the cub is what it is , if i was going to buy something like a cb125 I would probably just buy a 300 cc version of something very similar i think

The CB125F is, essentially, the logical descendent of the CG125. It's not going yto sell on nostalgia like the Cub does (or Honda maybe hoped it would.)

ie it's a bike for:-

1. Learners who want a Honda geared bike

2. Commuters that don't want an auto scooter

3. Frugal buyers who appreciate its fuel economy, low VDE, low insurance

Essentially the CBF is for those folks that can't, or don't want to, enter the bigger-is-better race and want a geared bike from a reputable manufacturer.

You're correct, it is what it is, buy one or don't.

It may be irrelevant if it doesn't meet your needs, but I'd argue it's far from irrelevant for many folks. I'd have money on it outselling the C125. (But maybe not the Cub range overall  )

;)

How long before there is a flurry of threads on " What is the best oil for my CB125?" and " Can I fit a race exhaust to my CB125" , " How do I make my CB125 faster", " Is there big bore kit" , etc etc :D :D

Just think you might be able to do the NC500 on one tank of fuel.

I’ve had both the cbf125 and then the cb125f and both were pretty good bikes for a 125. The cbf125 seemed like it had a slightly higher top speed and I used it a few times on trips of up to 1400 miles.
The tank ranges were fantastic, and both managed to fit givi racks on so I could carry significant luggage

The new CB125F 2021 is the better bike IMHO. Check it out on Honda's UK web site, its on its way if the boat comes in :)
I've been following that bike too, Dave.

They've spent a lot of R&D on that motor.

UK inbound. Honda brand quality, outstanding mpg and genuine two-up capability. I'd like to think it will be popular enough to have its own topic on C90club. I doubt it, but worth wishing... I might start the topic anyway ;)

8-)
