Google sort of gives an answer but not definitive.

Is the new C125 Cub actually made in Japan??

And Honda CRF250l's, CRF250 Rallys' and pretty well all new Triumphs. If my two are anything to go by, the quality is as good and anywhere in the world and better than many.

Never into Thai (b)Rides

Reason I asked was for personal reasons since the world went to **** I've tried to buy nothing (knowingly) made in China.

I'm considering another small CC bike/scoot & like the GLR but it's Chinese made

If whatever you buy is not actually made in china, many of the components will be, especially the electronics. Even on the "made in Britain" stuff. Only a small degree of assembly needs to be done in a country for that to define the country of origin, even though the bulk of it was produced in China.
Mobile phones and pretty much anything else with electronics in it, structural pressings, raw materials like steel and aluminium, much of it is sourced in China. Many of the clothes we wear.
I hope that hasn't burst any bubbles. Sorry. I can sympathise with your feelings, but your search is likely to be a long one.

No bubbles burst sadly I'm a realist (though to be fair the chances of me buying anything electronic as a luddite is slim)

However I pay twice the price for my Doc Martin's as they are made in Northhampton and happily interest in buying British engineering firms & the like has increased.

Even Brompton uses Chinese parts

I'm a firm believer in karma and those will get whats coming to them

I'm of the same view re buying British if you can now.
Won't happen overnight but we have to start somewhere.
I recently bought some scissors that were made in Sheffield with a 10 year guarantee to replace the cheaper but easily broken Aldi ones. Quality is fantastic over Chineese ones. Of course more expensive but buying 1 in 10 years beats buying 10 in 10 years!
I hope I'm not being hypocritical riding 2 Hondas and driving Honda car (made in Swindon though :D ).
