not honda but bsa

bsa a10 ftom the 60s been standing for the last 3 monthes started it up yesterday and it dumped all the oil on to the garage floor cant see any pipes damaged
any ideas

Definitely wet sumped,used to get this nearly every other day with a C11g because the gears on the pump are so crap oil just leaks through them,solution is buy a cnc made from dragonflies shop.never put a valve in unless your memory is good !

I had that on a 650 Triumph rebuild, it blow out oil from everywhere about 2 minutes after starting it up. I kept it running and the valve released, I got away with it.

I am just doing a 65 for a mate of the lads...650 to 850. been machining the new Ali barrels today ...a grand and they are not even bloody flat on top, Casting not machined very well and all mounting holes not bored just left as cast...So much for British workman ship...no wonder they T**s up years ago :lol:

PS: he asked would i look at the oil pump as well...Drat it i said yes :lol: :lol:

Is that an A65 Lightning Lyn, god they could vibrate, I would need several trips to the dentist after trying to rev out one of those.

I think it is, i will ask him next time he pops in for some thing :lol: he said he will bring me the oil pump to see if i can fix it :o
From what i hear i could make one better that BSA did with a drill and a file :D
