Well I did think about that, but Blackpool Honda have solved the problem by de-glazing the clutch
Perhaps it wasn’t necessary to renew all the variator components, but I’m not complaining, I’ve had variator done & a new belt. Bike should be OK for another 10k miles So the answer is my old mate. No I will not be changing & my confidence is now restored in Honda Motorcycles.

The clutch gets glazed if you take off to slowly.
Give it some revs so the clutch engages quickly and let the variator do its job.
