I've bored everyone with my trials and tribulations over the past year.
Essentially, after a flare up of an existing condition, and surgery last year I was faced with the choice of modifying the seats on my two bikes to not harm me, or move the bikes on. I succeeded (I believe) with the Cub but failed with the W800, hence it's recent sale.
Knowing that I would probably have to, I spent a significant part of the last year sizing up possible replacements.
The criteria was quite simple:
1. Sub 200kg, 250- 300cc
2. Local main dealer that I trust
3. Seating position with a decent perineum gap as stock without modification
I found quite a few that met criterion (3) the most important one, less that met (2) and (3) and basically none that met all 3 criteria.
The Burgman UH200 came closest of all, which was cool because I've considered Burgmans in the past, though the UH range flew underneath my radar as I've always looked at larger capacity maxis.
To cut a long story a little less long, I came across this 2 year old one with less than 800 miles on the clock and 40 miles from my house within 15 minutes of securing the sale of my W800.
I picked it up on Monday and for a bike that was bought just to fulfil a need it's surprised me a little in just how damned good it is! So much so that I've been finding every excuse under the sun to get out and ride on it.
Of the near 100 bikes I've owned, I can't actually remember owning a white one.
It's been named, "The Fridge."

Re: The Fridge
Good choice and glad you've found a suitable replacement so quickly.
Looks like it has the tall screen modification which is worthwhile.
Happy tyre turning ahead
