I’ve done about 2000 miles so far.

I did leave the heated grips on and killed the battery once so I’ve replaced it with a new one (45 quid delivered).

Works well with he missus on the back too, she did complain that the panniers were too small but that’s because she bought a pack of 9 bog rolls and had to carry them in hand.

My childish mind immediately sees your Mrs sat pillion juggling 9 bog rolls as you ride along which is actually stunt worthy of the defunct white helmets

About 3000 miles so far, no issues to report other than.....

The fuel gauge is somewhat inaccurate, the tank is supposed to hold 15 litres of useable fuel but running down to the bottom of the red portion of the gauge I can only ever get less than 12l into the refill.

The front brake is weaker than you would expect from a twin piston calliper on a disk.

The side stand leaves the bike too upright and needs a bigger foot.

Other than that it’s brill.

Easy fix for the side stand is just to shave a couple of mm off the piece of metal that causes it to stop when down, this moves the side stand slightly forward giving slightly more lean.

Noooooo Dave can not do that, it's far too easy a fix.. It just HAS to be a 3 week engineering project with CAD drawing and CNC milling work

No, he's just bought larger rims and is having them re-spoked onto the original hubs, so it sits a bit higher on the stand.

I can’t do CAD, although I do have an ‘O’ level in Technical Drawing, and none of the equipment we had in school was CAM enabled. (yes it was that long ago when school kids were allowed to play with Bridgeport’s and Chipmasters.

Nice call on shaving the side stand stop though.

I gotta move away from the south east, it’s getting like the Wild West- local a scrotes nicked my spares bike (although I retrieved it from the woods). At least if I was out in the wilds I could dispose of their remains easily. I suspect it’s the last push from the roaming Euro pikeys before Brexit.
