The Himalayan is getting loads of good reviews.
Here is a guy, nathanthepostman, who has done extensive travelling worldwide on adventure bikes and he rates it highly.
He owns one.
This review is after 9000 miles but he has other reviews on it, including 16000 miles.

For the technically challenged (me) let's try again

https://gaadiwaadi.com/royal-enfield-hi ... july-2019/

If you can conquer your home market everything else is gravy & as I recall India sells something like 45000 Scooters/bikes daily

Admin if you feel the wish to delete my incorrect post thread reads better :ugeek:

it's an interesting article in its own right. Maybe out of context here, but there's worse tangents been taken.

So it looks like it is going to be the 650cc engine eventually in the Himalayan then.

If I was in the market for one I'd want a 400 single not a 650 twin. 8-)

I agree with preferring a "single" over a twin but "everyone" is saying that it's the lack of power that is just about the only "fault" on it.
For trailing and B roads I reckon it's perfect but sometimes you need to do a bit of A road/motorway riding to get somewhere and it's that lack of oomph when you want to overtake that I think I'd miss.
I for one wouldn't want to see the 650 twin in it. I know from my Classic 500 how fantastic the single is, and particularly how it sounds, of course.
If they could get another 10hp out of the 411cc I reckon I'd seriously consider one.
