Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 efi
I finally bit the bullet and bought a Bullet 500, a brand new one in Dark Green. It has been great fun to ride and it really looks the part as well. I've only done 160 miles on it so far since I received it this Tuesday, but the weather has been appalling here unfortunately.
Regarding vibrations, this 2020 model is far smoother than the 2017 model in army green I tried at Alcock and Jones at the end of last year. That demonstrator was really rather uncomfortable to ride for longer than 15 minutes, however I have no problem riding this current Bullet for extended periods in comfort. It's not fully run in yet, so no doubt the vibrations (which are still noticeable) will reduce even further. I'm finding that I'm not missing the extra power of the TDM900 I had before, although I haven't taken it on the motorway yet. However, this isn't really the bike to be doing that sort of riding though. I have also been watching iRidetas on youtube because he has the most extensive library of Royal Enfield Classic 500 videos in decent resolution and with decent sound, which did have the effect of pushing me to finally buy it. I haven't been tempted to modify it though, other than putting some panniers or a topbox on it because riding with a rucksack can be a bit restricting.

Delighted that you like the Bullet.
Regarding "iridetas", it's my opinion that he has ruined his Classic 500 with all the modifications he's made. It's as if he has bought the wrong bike and is trying to turn it into something completely different.
Brown hand grips
New handlebars
Tachometer
Clock
Black Exhaust wrap
Power Commander (or whatever)
Vibration plate
etc, etc, etc.
I've put a Goldstar exhaust on mine and a rear rack and that's it.
We all do some bike mods but I can't help but feel sorry for his bike. It's no longer the bike it was meant to be. Not for me.

I agree, mine is just right with different exhaust and a rear carrier instead of pillion seat

I'll try not to enjoy it too much, the C90 will start to feel neglected at this rate...

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 efi
Does anyone know a rough figure for how much the 300 mile first service costs? And what they do to it for the service? I assume it's just an oil and filter change, nothing more complicated than that?
