Nothing is replacing it but I have a feeling you can still get the 350cc.
They are ploughing a lot into the 650 twin but that engine won't be going into the Classic .
There's a new bike called the Hunter, coming out, but it's a 250cc.

Also new to me is Royal Enfield (and Yamaha) have announced automatic three month extensions to factory warranties.
Since mine just ran out that's nice to know.

I considered the Benelli and Jawa singles before choosing the Royal Enfield, in the end it came down to curry rather than noodles,

I did a sort of "frisky" running in on mine, never thrashing it but gave it some frequent 3/4 throttle from 500 miles onwards just for a couple of seconds. I was forever changing gear and never allowed the engine to labour.alihar07 wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 9:08 pmHow do you find the Classic is to ride? I tried a brand new demonstrator one in Stafford with only a few miles on the clock. It was as rough as anything with the vibrations through the pegs and the handlebars, and it ran out of puff at 50mph. Do they become smoother the more they are ridden?
Early on, as I accelerated, I came to a vibration spot which makes you want to ease off a bit but I throttled through it.
I can tell you that my bike is smooth. No vibration in handlebars or mirrors plus hardly noticeable in the footpegs.
Prior to buying it was a concern, having read some reviews, but I'm delighted with how mine has turned out.

Sounds like the same running in procedure as I used, frequent stops to let it cool as well.

May I ask how far you had to go for them to run in and did the vibrations reduce extensively from new? Is it at all comparable now to the vibrations from a DR350? That's the only experience I've got of big(ish) single cylinder bike ownership so far.

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 efi
Well there's a service at 300 miles where they change the engine oil. I didn't go much more than half throttle during this period.
Between 300 and 500 miles I crept up to 3/4 throttle. Between 500 and 1000 miles I was more or less riding it as if it were Run In but only occasionally went up to full throttle for a couple of seconds.
What I'm saying is I didn't molly coddle it. I didn't ride anywhere with the same constant throttle setting but altered the speed all the time and was forever changing gears. I never stayed in top gear very long but would change down, drop my speed and accelerate back up into top again.
Throughout the running in period I stayed around the 50 -55 mph mark.
