Ive just bought a 2019 cb500x, big difference to the previous model. 2 up the suspension is quality, you really need to test one , its like a totally different bike. Im well happy with mine. I rode an NC before this , and to me there was no contest.
I checked a review of this on YouTube, mr fish I believe. Bigger front wheel.....gear indicator etc. The Cb500x has a lot going for it, nice dropped legs, in fact there’s more dropped leg room space on the Cb500x than most bikes out there, even more than the vstrom....which I found bit tight on the hips when I sat on one....would need to lower the foot pegs on the vstrom.

The new Cb500x is out of my price range at the minute, got around £3-4000 and prefer a bit more torque. Lovely bike though.

Which colour you go for?

Upgrade the suspension on the cb500x? Have had mine done and it's a world of difference.
I considered this and looked at a few YouTube vids, but decided I want something with a bit more torque. I believe some put a Suzuki 750 shock on might have been gsx type.

Same colour as mine, but mines 2015. Got it with panniers, center stand Honda rack and box...oh and Oxford heated grips.....got quite a good deal to say it was from a dealer, 7,000 miles....one previous owner.

A fella from Holland has put a deposit on it, supposed to be coughing up the rest today :D .

Not sure on torque but what about Versy 300.

Soon to be discontinued & replaced by a 400cc so deals to be had (though I know some folk are holding out for end of season bargains if they can)

Have to agree with Mark the new CB500X is so much better tgan previous model despite 'small' changes.

How about the Kawasaki Versys 300x, I brought one new last year, now im 6"4, and it has loads of drop leg room, and your feet are not tucked up behind you...I've ridden a 2015 CB500x and I was too cramped...i considered the CRF250L but found the Kawasaki had more room, more power and was more road bias.

So far I've done about 4000 miles on the 300x and I love it, i done the NC500 on it ladt June, and in June this year I will be riding it to Bosnia and back in 10 days.

The 300x is a twin and revs to 12,000 RPM, it will sit all day 70mph and has a top speed of 102mph, i got it for flying around B roads.

The only downside is the seat is like a brick, i done 2000 miles in 6 days and my ass wasn't right for a few days, since then i have had the seat modified with memory foam, which cost me £100.

Thanks Terry.

^^^ Apparently the Kawasaki Z1000SX seat is rock hard uncomfortable as well. The 2019 bike is the third model since it started in 2014. You'd think with all the owners' feedback, Kawasaki would have done something about it.

Hello 125ercrazy.........thanks for the details on the vstrom.....

Funny you should mention the Himalayan..... I have seen a couple around where I live, I quite like the styling of them and they’re also apparently real good on fuel too. I watched a good YouTube vid too.
