hi all
I recently purchased '06 cg125es and working my way through the bike to prepare for it's mot
I hit a snag with the chain/sprockets
the front spocket is listed (everywhere) and a 259.14T, I have a new JT sprocket which does not fit the splines on the output shaft, the splines are 4mm and the sprocket is 5mm
wondered if anybody has come across a similar ptoblem?

Re: 2006 cg125es front sprocket
Have a very good look at the engine
JTF259.14 is the correct sprocket for a CG125 2006 but you may have a Chinese copy engine and in that case all bets are off!!
http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/ may help if not carefully measure you old sprocket as per the diagrams and I will search the paper book which us traders get given
Dave

Re: 2006 cg125es front sprocket
good call, hadn't thought of that!
ok, good news it appears to be genuine honda, correct JC30E number, bad news it doesn't match the V5, I'll investigate that later (I purchased the bike from a copper...)
dave, the image specs for the 259 shows 4mm splines but mine new purchase has 5mm splines, however, the bike was fitted with a 437 which has 4mm splines but the image shows 5mm?!! annoyingly the 437 is for a 520 chain
if you have a 259 in stock could you get some calipers on the splines and see if they are 4 or 5mm
cheers
