General out there question?
I found a Harley 883 seat (solo) in the lock up so although the underside is curved do folk think I can take the stock innova/address seat hinge and mount it on the HD seat (have to remove cover and foam first. Width seems right and as the HD seat would sit further forward I believe it would sit on the rim of the seat tray but not fasten.
I would them have to make a cover for the fuel tank half of the innova/address.
This would probably work better with pictures than my word tutorial ( as it seems a great idea in my head)
Or am I better buying a second hand innova/address seat and (like previously) chopping that about, possibly getting £40+ for the HD one (I'm clearing out of all unused project buys)

Re: Seat swap
So long as you don’t wreck the seat trying it’s worth having a go.
I really like pan saddles, can sit on it all day long and still be able to walk afterwards

Re: Seat swap
If it's any help, I sat on an 883 solo saddle for at least 60,000 miles of the 90,000+ I put on my first Sportster.
It must have had some degree of comfort.
I'd say go for it.

Re: Seat swap
On the other hand, chopping out a section of my Riders Cub seat on my Cub and replacing it with a section of Toolstation kneeling mat, has improved it no end.
