My mate in Spain has a 350XT cracking machine, even today not many bikes can pass him in the Spanish hills where he lives..
Lots of Brits on holiday try, lots go home but never tell there mates what left them for dead in the hills :lol: :lol:

having problems with it eating rev counter inner cables at the momment

we are discusing a yamaha xt as shown in the photo, how are you getting on with them up stairs. any news

Absolutely cracking bike great around town had one for a few years in the 1990s same colour as that.
Make sure the decompressor system is working correctly otherwise they can kick back that hard they snap the kickstart idler gear clean off along with the end of the gearbox output shaft it spins on.
Full engine strip and new Gearbox output shaft did it twice once on mine once for a customer.

If it's eating inner cables Barker, the problem is likely the outer cable. Renew the whole caboodle.
